Stuart Townsend Biography
Stuart Townsend was born on 15 December 1972, in Howth, County Dublin, Ireland. He is an Irish actor. Similarly, he is best known for his portrayal as Lestat de Lioncourt in the 2002 film adaptation of Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned, and Dorian Gray in the 2003 film adaptation of Alan Moore’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He had first entered into the acting industry with a theatrical film debut as Dermot in the movie Trojan Eddie in 1995.
Likewise, his other works include writing and directing a film named Battle in Seattle (2007), starring as Buddy Endrow in Chaos Theory (2008), and also had prominent role in TV industry as he has appeared in TV series Betrayal from 2013 to 2014, Elementary (2015), and Salem (2015).
Regarding his family, his father’s name is Peter Townsend whereas his mother’s name is Lorna née Hogan Townsend.
He attended the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.
