Career
After Burke’s high school, he went to Concordia University where he played football. Later, he joined the 2002 Pittsburg Steelers training camp. Dale was signed by them in 2002 as an undrafted free agent. He has a unique style of kicking. So, this separated him from the pack and helped in his signing. After that, in 2003, he joined Montreal Alouettes’s training camp and remained out at the 2003 and 2004 season. And in 2005, Dale signed as a free agent by the Calgary Stampeders.
Till 2012, he stayed with Stampeders, when signed for another CFL team, the Edmonton Eskimos. Plus, he worked but failed to get interest from any NFL teams in his career.
Before retiring from the sport in 2014, he played for the Montreal Alouettes for his last season in 2013. He is best known as a great punter in the CFL by many fans from his own or even opposing teams. Moreover, Burke was CFL All-Star in 2010 and 2011 and a CFL West All-Star in 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2011.
