Celebrities are usually susceptible to controversies in the entertainment industry. Some get into such controversies unwillingly and some others create the one desirably. Bubba The Love Sponge show host, Clem is certainly the one who is creating the controversies willingly. His lists of career success are low as compared to the lists of legal issues that he has been involved into through his working life.
The one who gives the approval to let his wife sleep with others can help you know the type of person Bubba really is. But now, they are divorced and she is no more his wife.
Here, Let’s find out a lot more about the causes of their divorce details along with other incidents that Bubba has been involved into.
Bubba’s relationship with his ex-wife didn’t sustain long. He was involved in various immoral acts, the most popular being the Hulk Hogan sex tape. In the clip, Bubba’s ex-wife Heather Clem and Hulk Hogan were seen having sex in his bedroom.
Bubba has been married to Heather Clem (née Cole) on January 14, 2007, at First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, Florida. In the wedding, Hulk Hogan was featured as the best man. He filed for divorce from Heather on September 15, 2011.
A short clip of Hulk Hogan sex tape was released by Gawker Media on October 4, 2012. The tape was 1 minute and 41 seconds long. The sex tape was later taken down after being sued for publicizing the tape on October 15, 2012. Hogan even filed a lawsuit against Bubba and Heather for invading his privacy.
While the case was presented to the Florida jury, Bubba then-wife Heather confessed on agreeing to sleep with Hogan. The report stated,
“She said that she agreed to sleep with Hogan at her husband’s behest in 2006 — contradicting the wrestler’s earlier statement on the stand that Cole had hounded him for sex.”
Heather too admitted through a statement that said,
“I was asked to go to Mr. Bollea’s (Hogan) room by my husband, and I did”
The jury asked Heather,
“Did Mr. Clem generally pick who you had sex with?”
To which, she answered,
“On the occasion that I had sex with someone other than him, yes,”
Ultimately, the lawsuit that originated from the leaking of the sex clip got settled for $5000 on 29 October 2012 by Bubba and Hogan.
In March 2016, Hogan sued Gawker Media for releasing the sex clip and a jury of six awarded Hogan more than $140 million in March 2016. But ultimately Hogan and Gawker reached a $31 million settlement in November 2016.
In 2011, before the Hulk Hogan sex controversy even existed, Bubba and Heather were already in the process of getting divorced. The main cause for their divorce was stated to be incompatible differences. The judge finally approved their divorce on February 23, 2012, and Bubba owed his ex-wife $1150 per month as per the divorce settlement agreement.
Bubba’s relationship with his ex-wife Heather and his former girlfriend Nicole L’Ange both ended sourly. And both the ladies had a bumpy ride while dating Bubba.
Nicole accused Bubba The Love Sponge Clem for abusing her both emotionally and physically for four years. According to the news, L’Ange requested the court for an order of restriction from Bubba.
As per the report, Nicole accused Clem of ‘strangling her, hitting her on the back of her head and pushing her to the floor.’
Nicole explained her situation in the filing,
“I’ve had to change my number, block email and all other means of communication. He has found out where I’m staying and I’m scared he’s going to show up.”
Further, the report stated,
“L’Ange said she never went to authorities with her claims, but said Clem — born Todd Clem — won’t stop harassing her and her family, including threats to ruin her career in the Tampa Bay area. The host also sent “humiliating” texts to L’Ange’s father, asked the woman if she’s ever tried to kill herself and created fake social media accounts to “mess with” her and her current boyfriend.”
L’Ange, who met Clem in 2012 ended the relationship; but despite the separation, Clem continued his abusive nature. Nicole surged,
“Because I finally got the courage to leave, he has tried to ruin me and my family,”
