Joker, a 2019 psychological thriller movie for which Joaquin Phoenix got his Oscar Awards was a successful hit for Todd Philips, its director. Though, a villain-centric movie, it was a great success, the casts were deeply into the characters. It was a movie created in the budget of $ 70 million which was crazy enough to bring the fortune of $ 1.098 billion box office. The film not only cracked the box office but also in the accolades’ section. For this single psychological movie, 97 awards were credited and 141 nominations were recorded.
After the successful Gotham fury, its sequel is confirmed. Joker’s sequel’s title will be Joker: Folie à Deux which means Madness of Two in French. Todd Phillips, who directed Joker is co-writing the show along with Scott Silver. The first movie’s prime cast, Joaquin Pheonix said he was as unaware as we are about the sequel.
The sequel was not talked about since the release of Joker, it all came to the spotlight after Todd Phillips shared a red cover of the script for the sequel which has its title Joker: Folie à Deux on 18 May 2022.
