Oppenheimer is not a name heard much in the film industry but he sure was a man with a big brain. Oppenheimer (Julius Robert Oppenheimer) was an American theoretical physicist who is also known as the “father of the atomic bomb”. Born on 18 February 1904, he helped in the Fat man and Little boy bombings on 6 and 9 August 1945 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It wasn’t that he did it purposely to blow Japan but he helped it under the utter influence of the then U.S. Government.
His line “Now I am become Death the destroyer of worlds”, an excerpt from the Holy Bhagavad Gita was his illustration of the terror caused on 6 and 9 August.
