James Arthur Biography
James Arthur was born on 2 March 1988, in Middlesbrough, England. He is an English singer. Similarly, he rose to prominence after he won the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012. He also released his debut single, a cover of Shontelle’s “Impossible” under Syco Music which even peaked number one on the UK Singles Chart. The single also became the most successful winner’s single in the X Factor’s history with over 2.5 million copies sold worldwide.
Likewise, he then released his lead single from his debut album, “You’re Nobody ’til Somebody Loves You” and then his self-titled debut studio album in November 2013. Furthermore, the album peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart. He subsequently released his second studio album, Back from the Edge in 2016 under Columbia Records after he left Syco. He later re-joined the Syco Label and released the third album named You in 2019.
Regarding his family, his father’s name is Neil Arthur whereas his mother’s name is Shirley Ashworth.
