New York City Court House sentenced 4 years probation to Tekashi 6ix9ine (Real Name: Daniel Hernandez). The courthouse sentenced him in the case of child sex.
Tekashi 6ix9ine headed to the courthouse on Friday to receive his sentence. A judge ordered the rapper to serve four years probation and 1,000 hours of community service for violating the terms of a plea agreement stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance, E! News confirms.
In October 2015, Court found him guilt in the child sex case. The court found him guilt after a video of the rapper sexually engaging with an underage girl became viral. At the time, Tekashi was 18 years whereas the girl was 13 year old.
Despite his sentence, he won’t be registered as a sex offender. Though, he must abstain from gang affiliation and also posting sexually explicit or violent images of women or children online.
Tekashi 6ix9ine became popularized among his fans in late 2017. He rose to fame after his release of debut single ‘Gummo’. Similarly, he released his debut mixtape, Day68. It also provided fame to the rapper as it hit NO. 4 in Billboard 200 chart. Even Nicki Minaj wanted him to perform with her at the MTV Video Music Awards due to which he received chance to have a collaboration with Nicki Minaj.
She told at the time, “I wanted Tekashi to perform with me at the VMAs, but somewhere along the lines he did not get approved by the powers that be. When I know somebody, there’s nothing you can tell me about them.”
Because of his legal troubles, Tekashi has not been focused on studio. He wrote in an Instagram post, “These past few days my mood been low in the studio. Don’t know what ima do with this one just going off my vibe. We 10 for 10 keep me in your prayers 🙏🏻”
