Swedish actor Gustaf Caspar Orm Skarsgård was born on November 12, 1980 (age 36), in Sodermalm, Stockholm, Sweden. He was born to parents Stellan Skarsgard and My Skarsgard. His father was also a Swedish actor. His godfather is Swedish actor Peter Stormare.
Early Life & Career
In 1989, as a nine-year-old, Gustaf Skarsgard acted in the Swedish Film Codename Coq Rouge. After attending the Teaterhögskolan in Stockholm from 1999 to 2003, Gustaf Skarsgård joined the Royal Dramatic Theatre. He is best known outside Scandinavia for his role as Floki in the History Channel series Vikings. He has played the king of Sweden in two separate ages; first the 17th-century king Karl XI (Charles XI) and then the 13th-century king Knut Eriksson (Canute I). In 2003 he played a role in a movie named Evil which was liked by many and was one of his critically acclaimed work of Skarsgard. In 2008, he acted in Patrik 1,5. For both the films, he got nominated for the Guldbagge Awards for Best Supporting Actor and as Best Leading Actor. He has acted in more than thirty Tv series/ short films.
He married Hanna Alstrom in 1999. Gustaf and Hanna got separated in 2005. As for now, he is single.
Skarsgård won a Guldbagge Awards for Kidz In da Hood.He won the European Film Academy’s Shooting Stars Award in 2007. He received the prize as Best Leading Actor for his role in Förortsungar.
