She was born Wong Ka Hei on December 9, 1996, in Hong Kong, China. Vivi debuted on February 14, 2017, as a member and subsequently released her solo single album ViVi on April 17, 2017.

Wong Kahei was revealed as a member of the group’s first sub-unit LOONA 1/3 on February 12, 2017. , which debuted on March 7 with the mini-album Love & Live. ViVi is the only LOONA member to not release a solo album prior to her inclusion in a sub-unit. Later, on April 5, ViVi was officially revealed as the fifth member of LOONA. Her solo single album, titled “ViVi”, was released on April 17.
Vivi finally debuted as a member of Loona on August 20, 2018, From October 2016 until June 2018, each member of the group was revealed along with a solo single album and a music video with sub-units being introduced as members are revealed. They currently have 12 active members along with 3 subunits.
